I am an avid crafter. Right now my passion is card making, knitting, and making quilt tops. It is very difficult for my hands to be idle for very long. I am very much like my mother in that way. You know "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, I am my mother after all.

My Daughter's College Graduation Quilt
I wanted to make my daughter a quilt for her college graduation from Kansas State University in May of 2007. As you can probably tell, K-State colors are purple and white. I used pictures of her with family, friends and her as she grew through the years. Making it was like going back and going through her lifetime as made each block. It is so neat being able to actually printing on fabric.

ReplyDeleteStunning quilt Marla and I'm postive that your daughter treasures this one. I adore the way the pattern frames each photo and each one represents a little snippet of her life line. It is amazing how far printing has come in the last few years and being able to print on fabric to create masterpieces like this gorgeous quilt really opens up crafting on a new level.
