Wedding Invitations

As this is my first blog entry, so please bear with me as I learn these ropes.

I just finished a 4 month project in making my step-daughter's wedding invitations.  They were very time consuming - but I couldn't be happier and better yet, so is the bride.

The first photo is the invitation and inserts going to the guests invited to the ceremony and reception.  I spent a few weeks making mock-ups to show the bride-to and groom-to-be.  When I came up with the tuxedo style - I knew this it was it!

This next photo is the front of just this invitation.  The belly-band states the name of the guest being invited.  We went this route instead of doing the double envelope.

This photo shows the back of the invitation with a photo of part of the downtown skyline of Kansas City, MO.  The venue the couple has chosen is in the area of the new Power and Light District and the reception area has very large windows overlooking the skyline.

This is the invitation without the jacket and belly band.  The hearts were die cut with a Sizzix die and the embossed white paper was also done with a Sizzix die.  As you note the bottom says "Please join us as two hearts become one" and then the two hearts above.  (Not everyone gets it).

This photo shows the card open with the one heart at the top.  (You get it?)

This in the inside of the invitation with the wording to their ceremony and reception.

This photo is of the invitation sent to guests invited to the reception only.

Here you can see the wording on this invitation.

The inserts for all invitations  are:

RSVP

Venue and directions

Hotel blocks and other hotel information

I would really like to thank my wonderful husband Eddie, as he waited in JoAnn's parking lot on many occasions and would come home from work and make dinner.

  10. Oh Marla!!! These are out of this world!!! Stunning and absolutely unique. I love the design, and the idea of putting the names of the guests on each individual invitation is really, really good. I'll remember that when I start to make the invitations for our elder son's wedding. No date has been set yet, so I have no need to panic!!! .......YET!!! LOL ;o)

    Love Joan xx
